Environmental expert discusses findings to address Shiloh flooding

Summary

Shiloh community residents are breathing a sigh of relief and remaining optimistic that help is on the way after a visit from the “father of environmental justice” Dr. Robert Bullard and his team a little over a week ago. Residents have been claiming for five years now how the Highway 84 expansion has impacted their community for the worst — the drainage system of the highway is dumping rushing water onto their property causing their community to flood during downpours. After Dr. Bullard experienced the flooding himself during his visit, he has established that Highway is robbing the Shiloh community as it’s the only area along the highway experiencing that level of flooding.
