Chaunta Thomas is a Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance at Texas Southern University. Chaunta is a part of TSU's HBCU Climate & Environmental Justice program, where she conducts research about Lead poisoning in HISD schools and its effect on the community. After graduating from Stafford High School in 2019, Chaunta continued her education and athletic career at the University of Texas Permian Basin. She then transferred to TSU in 2021 and fell in love with her Historical Black University. She is a Houston native who enjoys the arts and playing basketball.
