Azariah Brailsford

Azariah Brailsford is an Undergraduate student in the Entertainment, Recording Industry program at the Martin Luther King School of Humanities, minoring In Radio, Television, and Film at Texas Southern University. Azariah is originally from Salisbury, North Carolina, where Cheerwine was founded and made. Although she lived in Davie County for most of her life, she now resides in Houston, Texas, where she continues her academic and professional development. In the Summer of 2023, Azariah participated in the HBCU Environmental and Climate Justice Research Program at Texas Southern, concentrating on environmental justice and low-income communities such as Pleasantville, Fifth Ward, Sunnyside, and Kashmere Gardens. Azariah is looking forward to continuing her knowledge of community building and the revitalization of predominantly black neighborhoods. She is currently working on her real estate license and enjoys music ziplining, white water rafting, ATV, and horseback riding.
