Destiny Anaele serves as a Program Coordinator at the Bullard Center for Environmental and Climate Justice at Texas Southern University, where she supports campus sustainability, resilience, and student engagement initiatives. Her current work includes coordinating Texas Southern University’s participation in the Building Improvement Toolkits (BIT) for Resilient HBCUs initiative, which advances campus resilience through projects focused on water, waste, energy, air, and storytelling.

Through this work, Destiny collaborates with students, university leadership, campus operations, and external partners to identify and advance practical sustainability solutions across the university. Her work includes developing campus projects related to resource efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, sustainable infrastructure, and environmental education. She also leads the development of Green Tigers: Sustainable TSU, an initiative designed to strengthen sustainability culture and connect campus improvements with student engagement and environmental stewardship.

An urban planner and public administrator, Destiny's academic and professional interests center on environmental justice, community resilience, and the relationship between climate change and historically disadvantaged communities. Her research particularly examines climate gentrification and the ways climate-related investment, adaptation, and environmental change can affect vulnerable communities.

A Houston native, Destiny earned her Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College and her Master of Public Administration from Texas Southern University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Urban Planning and Environmental Policy at Texas Southern University.
